The Grandview Steelers marched into Delta on a three game win streak, and on a scoring heater. Prior to their win against the Delta Icehawks the Steelers had scored 15 goals in their last two, and after Tuesday’s 4-3 win against the Delta IceHawks, that brings the Steelers to 19 goals in their last three games played.
The Steelers started off this game hot scoring the first four goals of the game in the first 40 mins. And while veterans Steven Konechny, Gabe Adam and Cameron Lee all got on the scoresheet it was the Steelers depth scoring that propelled the win.
Jack MacFarlane, Rowen Albert and Aangid Manhas, the rookies scored three of the Steelers four goals. For the third line of MacFarlane-Osachoff-Manhas combining for, four points.
With key saves made by Ronin Geraghty throughout the game, the Steelers got through the first 40 mins with a 4-1 lead. However. The Delta Icehawks, 2nd in the Tom Shaw Conference made a late game push bringing the game to 4-3. The Steelers locked in defensively in the final moments and secured the win.
