The Burnaby Steelers are pleased to announce the signing of 2008-born defender Ayden Saran.
Saran (Cloverdale, BC) comes to the Steelers after two games in the VIJHL with the Westshore Wolves. Prior to that the left-shot product played in 29 games with Rink Hockey Academy’s U18 teams in Kelowna, BC. He put up a pair of goals and 13 assists in the interior.
Saran is also a former BWC player having spent the 2024-25 season there.
“Ayden has good size and is a skilled defenceman who plays with a high compete level and brings a strong physical presence to our blue line. He’s coming off a championship season with Rink Kelowna U18, and that winning experience is something we believe will translate well to our program,” said Steelers General Manager Craig Carter.
“We’re looking forward to seeing Ayden continue to develop and make an impact with the Steelers,” he added.
The Burnaby Steelers would like to extend a warm welcome to Ayden and the Saran family.
