The Burnaby Steelers have acquired 2009-born defender Daniel Evans from the Surrey Knights of the PJHL in exchange for a player development fee.
Listed at 6’1″ and 176 lbs., he spent the past season in the PJHL with the Aldergrove Ironmen posting 3 goals and 9 assists for 12 points in 41 games.
Evans is a right-shot product of Langley, BC, who will be a valuable addition to the team’s back end.
“Daniel is a hard-nosed young defenceman who skates well, competes every shift, and isn’t afraid to play a physical game. He brings toughness and mobility to our blue line combined with his skillset. and we believe there’s a lot of upside in his game,” said Steelers General Manager Craig Carter.
The Steelers open the 2026-2027 season in Langley on Saturday, September 19. The team plays their home opener on Sunday, September 20.
