The Burnaby Steelers are pleased to announce the signing of 2008-born forward Rhys Ulinder.
The native of West Vancouver, BC, comes to the Steelers after spending the past four seasons in the BCEHL with the Vancouver NW Hawks U15, U17, & U18 teams.
Ulinder most recently posted seven goals and 10 assists for 17 points in 33 games as Captain of the U18 Vancouver NW Hawks.
“Rhys is a highly skilled, explosive player who can create offence with his speed and ability to make plays in tight areas. He has the skill and pace to change the momentum of a game, and we believe he’s going to be a very exciting player for our fans to watch,” said Steelers General Manager Craig Carter.
“We’re looking forward to seeing Rhys develop and make an impact in a Steelers uniform,” he added.
The Burnaby Steelers would like to extend a warm welcome to Rhys and the Ulinder family.
The Steelers open the 2026-2027 season in Langley on Saturday, September 19. The team plays their home opener on Sunday, September 20.
